Are your animals hormone and antibiotic free?

Yes. We raise the vast majority of the animals. The other animals come from either extended family or trusted suppliers. If there is ever a question they are refused. We do not use steroids, growth supplements or medications.

How are your animals raised? What are they fed?

Most of the livestock is "free range". This means that they are left in pasture for the vast majority of their life.

Sheep/goats come from either desert or mountain pastures during the summer, in the winter they are brought into grass pastures and given alfalfa and barley hay.

Beef is raised in grass pastures. The pasture also includes some salt grass. In winter they are given alfalfa and barley hay.

Pigs come from local farmers. They are fed pig pellets, hay, and produce.

Rabbits are kept in caging. They are fed a custom alfalfa pellet from our local feed mill. They are also given alfalfa hay periodically to help with fiber.

Are your animals humanely euthanized?

Yes. Animals are euthanized as fast as possible. We feel that there is no need for an animal to suffer and ensure that they don't.
